There’s a reason the democrats have been unable to communicate their message to the American people; and that’s because they don’t have a message.  Being against everything Donald Trump is trying to do isn’t a message, it’s a reaction.  But more importantly, even if they had a message, they don’t have a leader to deliver it.

Some democrats rail about oligarchy, others don’t see a problem with boys in girls’ locker rooms, while all remain silent as Swastikas are spray painted onto burning Teslas.  At the same time, it appears the party has embraced Central American gangbangers as its poster child on the hierarchy of victimhood with Kilmar Abrego Garcia supplanting George Floyd.

We should all find the political theater fascinating as the democrats jockey for a leadership position.  Cory Booker speaks for 27-hours straight on the Senate floor, and no one remembers what he said, or even what the subject was; Chris Van “I wanna be president” Hollen virtue-signals by engaging in a photo op with a gangbanger in El Salvador, as Tim Walz wants to double-down on DEI.

During the darkest hours of World War II, Winston Churchill’s leadership inspired the British people to hold firm as they stood alone against the Nazis.  Without the Prime Minister’s leadership, it’s not unthinkable that the nation’s morale would have crumbled, and its sense of purpose lost.  An unspoken reality about leadership is that when a compelling leader delivers an honest and moral message history is made, a situation we are experiencing with Donald Trump, and the democrat establishment is flailing in its attempts to counter it.

Leaders bring vision and direction, they define goals, clarify purpose, and chart the course for the nation.  Leaders make key decisions, especially in times of uncertainty or crisis as they balance input, manage risk, and ensure that their followers’ actions align with the leader’s vision.

Great leaders inspire, they boost morale and foster engagement.  They recognize and fete the achievements of others and create a sense of purpose.  They establish responsibilities and expectations and hold people accountable and enforce standards.  A strong political leader literally shapes the contours of nation’s culture through his or her actions and priorities.

But without a leader, a political party becomes directionless.  Just look at the last four years under Joe Biden.  Without a competent president to lead, who set the nation’s priorities?  Although a more germane question might be, ‘what’ were the nation’s priorities during the Biden years?   Under Biden-Harris there was absolutely no direction, and the drift the nation experienced was eminently predictable.

If you asked ten people what the nation’s strategic goals were during the last four years you would get ten different answers.  Which is precisely why we experienced the Afghan debacle, runaway inflation, Chinese spy ballons, American ships being attacked by the Houthis in the Red Sea, the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the Hamas attack on Israel.  You’ll note I didn’t mention the 12,000,000 illegal aliens that crossed our borders because that was done intentionally, idiotic and contemptible as well, but certainly intentional.

What national or international problems were solved during those years?  Did the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan improve our kids’ test scores, did air travel become less of a hassle, did the Chinese stop building ports at both ends of the Panama Canal, was our depleted strategic oil reserve refilled?  We know the answers to those questions because the entire world saw with its own eyes that the emperor had no clothes.

True leaders exude confidence, they’re decisive, charismatic, empathetic and understand the milieu in which they operate.  And vis-à-vis the foregoing if ever the phrase “none of the above” were applicable, it applies to every democrat on the national stage from Kamala Harris to AOC to Chris Van Hallen to Hakeem Jeffries to Cory Booker, et al.

Within the political realm, leadership is the difference between nation-building and nation-breaking.  With solid leadership, the citizenry will rally around a common cause.  But without it, we get confusion, conflict, and collapse.

Donald Trump has a vision: control the border, deport illegal alien criminals, reduce the size of government by eliminating waste, abuse and fraud; maintain military deterrence, bring high quality businesses and jobs back to America while keeping taxes low, let parents decide how to best educate and care for their children, and keep men out of women’s sports.

Contrast that with the democrats; have they endorsed a single one of these commonsense policies?   Can anyone detail specifically what the democrat vision is or who is going to articulate it?  We know the answer to those questions too, which is why the democrats would be better served if they focused on offering alternative ways to ‘fix something’, rather than laying in the weeds sniping at everything Donald Trump is trying to accomplish.

Quote of the day: “The very essence of leadership is that you have to have a vision.” — Theodore M. Hesburgh
