I believe it would benefit the country greatly if Trump and the Republicans commited to not pushing thru a Supreme Court nominee until after  the election is settled and the new or current president resumes his term in office, and the new congress is sworn in; and in return the Democrats commit to not eliminating the filibuster if they win the Senate ~ I think that would prevent an enormous amount of rancor, would be a show of good will and great first step towards, bi-partisanship, comity, healing and bringing the country together.
