To Believe or Not to Believe

Belief means having trust, faith, or confidence in someone or something; it’s an acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists.  Sometimes beliefs are silly and childlike, e.g., That it was the tooth fairy would leave that quarter my pillow whenever I lost a tooth, or that there are more than two sexes, and that an individual is free to choose.

Meanwhile, there are times when we’re disabused of such foolish notions for one reason or another, for instance, when we grow up and leave grade school or being to use our God-given intelligence in a meaningful way.  But there are other times when the shear preponderance of fact and or the removal of media lies, falsehoods, prevarications, fabrications and distortions defy us not face reality.

So today, I thought I list a few things clear-thinking individuals no longer believe to be true.

• After instigating an “insurrection” and leaving office with a 34% approval rating and then having to face 91 felony indictments and being liable for over $400 million in assorted fines. Donald Trump was finished, kaput, done, broken, and washed up and we would never likely hear from him again, at least not as a free man.
• That Joe Biden was tack sharp, fit as a fiddle and would routinely run rings around a staff that in some cases was as much as 45 years younger than he was.
• That Nancy Pelosi, Liz Cheney, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Barack Obama still have the clout, influence and overall cache they once did.
• That there was no conflict of interest when Vice President Joe Biden flew to China with his son on Air Force Two to meet with communist oligarchs and apparatchiks, or that Nancy Pelosi and her husband Paul became multi-multi-millionaires by making wise investment decisions.
• That former CIA Director John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and former interim FBI Director Andrew McCabe were truthful when the met with Congress and federal investigators.
• That former FBI director James Comey legitimately couldn’t remember the specifics on 245 occasions while testifying before the House Judiciary and Oversight Committee.
• That Trump supporter and future director of the FBI, Kash Patel wasn’t surveilled by the Obama administration by the very department he’s going to lead as soon as he’s confirmed.
• That 51 former intelligence officials told us the truth on the eve of the 2020 election that Hunter Biden’s laptop, had all the “hallmarks” of a Russian disinformation operation.
• That the infamous Steele “dossier” wasn’t a Hillary Clinton/ Democratic Party-paid hit piece using the paywalls of the DNC, the Perkins Coie law firm, and Fusion GPS—to help destroy the Trump campaign, on the ridiculous charge of colluding with the Russians.
• That the Obama administration didn’t use an FBI lawyer-forged FISA warrant to spy on American citizen Carter Page.
• That Steele himself was a skilled and professional ex-intelligence agent, and that Hunter’s laptop was cooked up in Moscow, and Carter Page was a Russian spy working to subvert the 2016 election.
• That special counsel Robert Mueller was in full control of a dream team of all-star unbiased lawyers conducting the investigation.
• That there was a litany of proof “in plain sight “ that Donald Trump colluded with the Russians.
• That the information we received about what was going on at the Wuhan virology lab and was truthful that Dr. Fauci knew nothing about it.
• That Donald Trump and not the democrat ideological machine is the real threat to democracy.
