The Collective Wisdom or Divine Providence

In the summer of 1776, the American Revolutionary War was still in its early stages.  British forces, led by General William Howe, had successfully landed on Long Island, New York, and confronted the Continental Army.  The battle that ensued, known as the Battle of Brooklyn (or the Battle of Long Island), was a dire setback for the American forces.  They found themselves outnumbered, outflanked, and on the verge of defeat and the end of the revolution before it had hardly begun. 

Washington faced a daunting predicament. The British were closing in on his position, and it seemed that capture or annihilation was imminent for the beleaguered American forces. Washington realized that the key to survival was a successful retreat from Long Island to Manhattan, which was separated by the East River.

However, the British Navy was about to sail up the East River in order to block Washington’s escape, but on the night of August 29-30, 1776, first strong winds and then a dense fog miraculously descended upon the East River and battlefield, obscuring visibility and shrouding the area in an eerie mist providing the necessary cover for Washington’s daring retreat.  And the rest is history.

So, what does this have to do with tomorrow’s election?  Plenty.  We know Kamala and the Left are out of ideas and have only lies, exaggerations and scare tactics about threats to democracy, with a biased and complicit media carrying their water for them.  We also know that Harris has been forced to abandon her run-out-the-clock avoidance of answering any direct questions because there was no COVID allowing her to hide in her basement as was the case with Joe in 2020.

So, as it’s became obvious that Harris has no real policy, nor has she displayed any evidence of problem-solving skills, her handlers and the media have resorted to the big lie that Trump is a threat to democracy, an accusation with no hard evidence.

Like the man behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz, Harris has revealed herself as a fraud who can neither think on her feet nor speak in anything but word salads and who has yet to articulate a consistent message to the American middle class, yet due to an array of forces, led by a complicit media she remains tied in the polls.

She talks about Trump’s fascist policies, but never provides any evidence, just bumper-sticker comments from Trump haters and unverified opinions from talking heads and other left-leaning officials and their media lapdogs.

The hallmark of fascism is the hijacking of law enforcement and the military to suspend constitutional rights and punish enemies.  But it was a corrupt FBI that began its assault on Trump almost ten years ago during the Obama administration with the bogus Steele dossier.  It was the FBI that hired Steele and fused it with social media to suppress accurate news reporting.  And it was Facebook and Twitter that conspired with the FBI to censure news accounts favorable to Trump.

And lest we forget, it was Biden’s Justice Department that coordinated with Georgia prosecutors Fani Willis and Nathan Wade, special counsel Jack Smith, Manhattan prosecutor Alvin Bragg, and New York Attorney General Letitia James to prosecute Trump, bankrupt him, and keep off the campaign trail.  It’s fascists who use government to destroy their enemies, not people who believe in democracy.

Consider, Harris was the first candidate to drop out of the democratic presidential primary in 2016 because she could gain no traction whatsoever even in her home state of California.  Yet the woman who gained her party’s nomination for president under the most undemocratic circumstances in our history, with no record of accomplishment, and who has yet to spell out any specific policies other than to talk about transgender “rights” may be the next President of the United States – how is that possible?

The progressive left has shown itself to be totalitarian to its core, and Ms. Harris is its spear point.  A big decision awaits America tomorrow – personally I hope that the collective wisdom of the American electorate saves us from the irreparable damage a Harris administration will wreak upon our nation, but if not, then just like the night of August 29-30, 1776, I pray that Divine Providence once again intervenes on behalf of the American people.
