“When people show you who they are, believe them the first time,” is a quote attributed to Maya Angelou.  But on Oct. 30th, 2008, just before the 2008 presidential election, the nation failed to heed the portentous words of Barack Obama who told a crowd in Columbia, Missouri, “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”  Most Americans thought the junior senator from Illinois was simply predicting his historic election as the first Black president of the United States.  But as events have borne out, Obama had far more sweeping changes in mind for America, including the destruction of the oil and gas industries in the name of “climate change” and absorbing millions of illegal immigrants as a form of wealth redistribution writ large.

I have written on numerous occasions that Barack Obama will go down in history as one of the three most consequential or at least influential presidents in American history, right alongside Washington and Lincoln.  This belief was reinforced after political neophyte Donald Trump was savaged by “The Swamp” during his first term with its weaponized lawfare and constant lies from a complicit media.  I was fearful that a return to the vision of the Founders was pure fantasy.  But since Trump’s stunning victory over Kamala Harris and the geopolitical changes we’re beginning to around the world since November 5th and now I am no longer so sure about Obama’s lasting influence.

~ Didn’t He Think We’d Notice? ~

When Joe Biden came into office, he countermanded all of Trump’s executive orders and installed his malignant DEI programs throughout the government.  He doubled down on “green” pipe dreams by canceling the Keystone Pipeline and implementing policies that hobble energy production and innovation.  Even worse, he abandoned any semblance of immigration law and allowed, or perhaps I should say “invited” as many as 10 – 15 million unvetted illegal aliens into our country.

But that’s history now and in the Monday morning quarterbacking that always take place after a presidential election I received an email video that really made me think.  And if you’re on my email blaster list you know the video I’m referring to, the video was of an unknown (to me anyway) pundit describing who the number one loser of the 2024 election was Barack Obama.  (I have attached a link to that video at the bottom of the page, but not sure if it will work on a blog, if not you can always try to cut ‘n paste)

During the narration the viewer is told how during the campaign Obama was out begging, screaming, and scolding black men suggesting that misogyny and sexism were the real reason why black men weren’t supporting Harris. “Part of it makes me think that, well, you just aren’t feeling the idea of having a woman as president, and you’re coming up with other alternatives and other reasons for that.”   Can you imagine the shock it must have been for the former president to realize his words no longer carried the weight they once did?

The narration went on, “Now imagine this, every night Barack Obama goes to sleep remembering how he was talking  s#*t about Trump while reading Trump’s tweet live on Jimmy Kimmel’s show,” To wit :“President Obama will go down as perhaps the worst president in the history of the United states!” – at real Donald Trump,”  to which Obama responded disdainfully, “Well, at real Donald Trump, at least at least I will go down as a president” and drops the iPhone in abject disgust while glaring into the camera daring Trump to respond.  As the narrator presciently opined, “Now, Barack Obama has to eat his words for the rest of his life.”

~ Yes, He Actually Said That ~

In his first speech after the presidential election Obama lamented polarization in politics saying, “If one side attempts to cement a permanent grip on power through suppressing votes, politicizing the military or weaponizing the judiciary and criminal justice system to target opponents, a line has been crossed.  Pluralism is not about holding hands and singing Kumbaya, it is not about abandoning your convictions and folding when things get tough. It is about recognizing that, in a democracy, power comes from forging alliances and building coalitions and making room in those coalitions not only for the woke, but the waking.  Purity tests are not a recipe for long-term success.”

The hypocrisy of Obama’s words is breathtaking, and lest we forget, this is the man who’s launching a project to lessen the political divisions in this country.  But Australian columnist Miranda Devine said it best,  “It’s over for Obama, the spell is broken,” in essence telling us that Donald Trump has vanquished Obama, just as he vanquished Biden, Harris, and Hillary.  The bottom line is that Barack Obama’s days as the false prophet of the Democrat party have come to an end and frankly, this bodes well for America.

Donald Trump has big ideas and he’s putting the pieces in place; more importantly, he’s learned how the game is played in Washington D.C.  I also believe that come this time next year, Mr. Obama’s voice will be even weaker.
