The best way to understand both sides of an issue, is to argue it from your opponent’s point of view. But doing so takes time and energy and you can be sure you’ll dig up information that runs counter to your beliefs, which is exactly what I’ve been doing for the last month or so.
Trump haters are off the rails, so, I took the most persistent anti-Trump lies and beliefs and began researching them. Not surprisingly 85% of the negative stories, articles and comments about Donald Trump that I examined were without merit or partial truths and factoids taken out of context.
However, where there’s smoke there’s fire, and today I view our 47th president a little differently than I did two months ago. Would I still support him? Of course I would. I mean under no circumstances could I have voted for Kamala Harris, who, and I’ll be kind here – is a woman that within the context of leadership and governance, doesn’t know if she’s on foot or horseback. She’d would have become another puppet just as Joe Biden was, with even more confusion and discord emanating from the White House. I also believe that America as we know it, would be forever altered after four more years of woke-democrat control; so, as I see it, Trump’s victory on November 5th, probably saved our nation.
I will not dispute that Donald Trump has been a showman, a scoundrel, an egoist and an egotist, a carnival barker and someone suited to be a gameshow host. More concerning however, I also believe Donald Trump is amoral. I use the word amoral rather than immoral because if we look at the man back in the 70s and 80s, it wasn’t as if he was unaware of morality, rather he was just indifferent to it.
But that was then and this is now. And in 2025, Donald Trump is a very different man, which brings to mind the fact that our “leaders” in Washington aren’t really leaders in the truest sense of the word. What we have in congress are people who are politicians with no more common sense than your corner grocer, pharmacist or next-door neighbor.
People in congress come from a miscellany of backgrounds, but a significant number are attorneys, which means these people aren’t stupid. They may be greedy, unprincipled, and myopic, but not stupid. And here’s a factoid many are unaware of, American law schools don’t teach aspiring attorneys how to solve problems, rather law schools focus on finding problems. Which is why I appreciate the ‘amoral Trump’ – the man knows how to solve problems. Donald Trump fixes things, he builds things, he cuts to the quick and makes things happen.
~ Leadership or Politics? ~
The great leaders and statesmen of the 20th century, people such as Abraham Lincoln, Golda Meir, Konrad Adenauer, Margaret Thatcher, Winston Churchill, Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and Ronald Reagan don’t come along very often. And even when they do, all have personal shortcomings.
Prior to Trump’s victory in 2016 Barack Obama occupied the Oval Office; a man who was enormously influential on the culture. But our first black president was a “community organizer” without any credentialed accomplishments or experience in knowing how to get things done. His strengths were public oration and playing the game of politics extremely well. Neither was Obama a great thinker, strategist or visionary. But that’s not why future historians won’t rank Barack Obama very high in the pantheon of American presidents, rather, it’s because his vision for America deviated significantly from that of the Founders.
Before Obama we had Bush II, who wasn’t the brightest penny in the register, but he was a moral man who wanted what was best for the nation and had the good sense to surround himself with capable people. And before Dubya we had Bill Clinton, but that’s another kettle of fish, so let’s get back to the 21st century.
We have no idea if Stargate is going to bring the medical breakthroughs some believe it will. Nor do we know if DOGE will really reduce government waste or eliminate the thousands of unnecessary regulations. At last count, the Federal Registry comprised 96,088 pages. Nevertheless, these are visionary ideas, just as was creating the Space Force, or Trump’s comments about the Panama Canal and Greenland, classic examples of thinking outside box. At the same time, I also believe Donald Trump loves Donald Trump and one of the reasons he fights so hard for things is that he craves the credit, our 47th president needs to be admired.
Meanwhile, what the Left continually misses is that Donald Trump has a deep-seated love for his country – and that cannot be faked, as Barack & Michelle did. So it is, that Donald Trump is a man for the times and a human ball of energy, which brings us to today.
President Trump has a monumental task ahead of him. Even I didn’t think Biden & Harris could screw up the country as much as they did – but I’ve been wrong before. 😊 So, love him or hate him, hs is our president for the next four years, and I wholeheartedly believe that by the time Donald Trump leaves office, The United States of America will be more closely aligned with the vision of the Founders than when he entered it.
